Yesterdays talk by Helen Harman about the various Castle artefacts held in storage was well attended and well appreciated by the 30 or so people who braved the inclement weather. We learned about what was unearthed during the various excavations over the past 100 years or so and how Museums Sheffield have tackled the problems associated with categorising everything!
We also heard about the quantities of material still in storage that may, at some point, form part of a major exhibition. Hard copies of the History of Sheffield Castle & Markets guide were given to all.
