Quite a specific date given to this artist’s impression. Does anyone know who drew it?

  1. This doesn’t look like a pre-Conquest castle to me, I would give more credence to the motte and bailey depiction. That door looks like a tradesman’s entrance – and how did you get to it across the moat?
